What’s Changing?

To give you more control over your photos, Google is updating how apps like 1SE access Google Photos. Currently, 1SE for Android can access your Google Photos library for easy browsing, but starting April 1, 2025, you’ll be able to select specific photos or albums to share. This means you keep the same experience with more control over what’s accessible, helping you manage photo privacy.

Why the Change?

Google’s update to its Photos API improves data security and privacy.

How It’s Changing

  1. Selective Access: Choose individual photos or albums to share with 1SE.

  2. New Photo Picker: A new tool lets you securely search and select photos directly from Google Photos.

  3. Simplified Organization: Photos will display chronologically within 1SE without date-based groupings.

Need Help?

If you have any questions about these changes, please don't hesitate to contact us from the app's Settings > Contact Support.
