You don't need a Pro subscription to join Crowds.

The 1SE social experience is available on iOS to all signed in users.

If you're not seeing the Crowds card in the app, please make sure you're signed in, using version 4.5 or above and that 1SE Crowds is enabled in the app's Settings.
