We've gotten a few reports from users about this issue on version 3.6.13, and our development team is already looking into it.
This issue only affects some dates—not the same for each reporter—in Journal projects, so do try to continue adding content into different dates of your project.
In the meantime, these steps might help you work around the problem:
restore from that backup on a different device,
add desired snippets to the problematic dates,
create a new backup on that other device,
restore from that backup on the original device.
