When you tap the play ▶️ (iOS) or Mash (Android) button in your project, you'll see that this year's snippets are mashed by default, but this is not carved in stone. You can select the specific dates you want to compile into your video.
On iOS
You'll immediately see the option to "Choose Dates."
On Android
Tap "Choose Dates" on the mashing screen.
In this drawer, you can choose between the following options:
Week: Select this week and last or just one of them.
Month: Choose this month and last or just one of them.
Year: Select a specific year to mash.
All: (Android only) Mashes the entire project.
Customize: Manually select snippets to combine from your project's timeline.
Date Range: Choose a specific date range, providing starting and end dates.
What Gets Mashed?
Week / Month
In both the "Week" and "Month" options, you can combine the current week or month with the previous week or month.
Year
This allows you to select a specific year to mash. It will then mash the whole year, or you can combine several years.
Customize
Tapping "Customize" ("Custom" in the Android app) opens the project gallery. Here, you can combine all your snippets, create a custom range, or make an arbitrary selection.
To mash All the snippets in a project, tap "Select (All)."
To select a custom period, regardless of its length or whether it covers several months or years, press and drag your finger across the calendar.
To create a custom mash, you can select any snippets you want by tapping their thumbnails.
Date Range
Using the "Date Range" selector, you can set your mash's start and end dates. Choose a "From" date and a "To" date to mash all snippets within that period.
That's it! Now, you can preview the outcome.
