The best way to get started is to select a few seconds from the previous week. You can always go back and delete the ones you don't like. This will get you comfortable with 1SE and allow you to have fun right away!

The fastest way to get it done on iOS is straight from the Now screen. Tap "Log Moment" on any of your "Recent Moments" you want to add to your project, adjust your selection, and tap "Log".

In a Journal project, go into any day with a camera icon. This icon indicates there's a video or photo for that day in your library. The last available day in the calendar grid will always be TODAY.

Adding a Snippet

Once inside a day, you have a couple of great options. You can add a second (or multiple if you have a Pro subscription) or create a journal entry. We'll cover selecting a second of a video. Tap the + button to add a snippet.

You can also quickly add a snippet directly from the "Add from this day" section in the day screen. This section displays all available photos and videos from the selected day.

The media selector will display all the videos, Live Photos, and photos you have available. We prioritize videos from that day by putting them at the top.

Using the in-app camera

You can also add a snippet using the in-app camera within the 1SE app. When you select "add a snippet" under "Your Day," you will see an option to use the in-app camera by tapping on the camera icon:

On iOS, you can access the in-app camera by tapping and holding the 1SE icon from your home screen:

Customizing your snippet

Once you've selected a video to use, you'll see our snippet selector screen. On this screen, you can customize your snippet with features such as "Rotate," "Fit to Frame" (iOS), and "Adjust Volume."

The arrows on both sides of the video scrubber allow you to go frame by frame to find the perfect moment. You can preview your selected snippet by pressing the "Preview" button at the bottom left of the screen.

Once you've found the perfect moment, tap the teal "Trim" button at the bottom right to create the snippet.

Editing your snippet

You can always replace, copy, edit, or delete a snippet by tapping the settings icon (iOS) or the kebab icon (Android) in the top-right corner of the thumbnail on the Your Day screen.
