When buying a subscription via the App Store or Play Store, Apple or Google manages payment transactions and price changes. If your current plan's price changes, the new rate will not take effect immediately.
Apple or Google will always notify you of a price increase before your renewal date. For most increases, that notice is all there is: the subscription simply renews at the new price unless you cancel. You only have to actively agree when the increase is a large one — more than 50% of the current price and more than about US$5 per period (US$50 for an annual plan) — or when you already had an increase in the past 12 months. In those cases, the subscription will not renew unless you opt in.
If the price decreases, you'll continue paying the original amount until cancellation or lapse. At this point, resubscribing means paying the new lower price.
