If you have a Pro subscription, you can adjust the volume of your snippets while creating them.
At the bottom of the snippet selector screen, tap Volume (iOS) or the speaker icon (Android) to show the volume bar, then slide to the volume you want. On iOS, Volume only appears for clips that have sound, and you confirm with the yellow checkmark.

When mashing, you can also turn the sound on or off for the whole project: tap Sound On or Sound Off in the mashing options.
