What’s New in 1SE 6.6: A Brand-New Way to Mash

Shape your movie faster with the new mash screen

Written by Silvia Burgos

Your year deserves more than a slideshow. 1SE 6.6 for iPhone gives the mash screen a complete makeover, so shaping your movie feels as easy as living it. Here’s everything that’s new.

A mash screen built for making your movie

The new mash screen puts every tool in one swipeable row: Speed, Format, Reverse, Filters, Background, Music, Core Memories and more, right under your preview. Tap a tool, see the change, keep going.

See every moment at a glance

A filmstrip of your snippets now runs under the preview, so you always know where you are in your movie. Scrub through it to jump straight to any day.

Add the moment you forgot

Spotted a gap? Tap + on the filmstrip, pick a video from those dates, and it slides into your mash right away. No leaving the screen, no starting over.

Fix a snippet without leaving your mash

Tap any thumbnail to Edit it, change its caption, Replace it, Hide it, or make it a Core Memory. Your mash updates as you go.

Private snippets are now Hidden

Same feature, clearer name. Snippets you’d rather keep out of your movies are now Hidden, everywhere in the app. Hide a day you’d rather not see, and bring it back with Unhide whenever you like.

And a few more things we think you’ll love

  • On iOS 26, 1SE gets a fresh, glassy new look to match your iPhone.

  • If a backup can’t finish, 1SE now tells you why, so you can fix it in a tap.

The new mash screen and the Hidden name are rolling out to iPhone users over the coming weeks, so it may not appear for you right away. Update to 1SE 6.6 from the App Store to get it as soon as it’s ready for you.

Ready to try it? Open a project, tap the play button, and start mashing. For a step-by-step guide, see How to Create a Mashed Video.
