This guide walks you through your first few minutes with 1SE on Android: setting up, your first snippet, and your first mash.
Step 1: Set up the app
Download 1 Second Everyday from Google Play and open it, then:
Tap Start First Project. If you already have an account, tap Sign In at the top right instead.
The Pro offer opens. To start with the free version, tap the X at the top right.
Create a free account with Continue with Google or Sign up with Email. On Android you need an account to start; it comes with one free Journal project.
On Set Up Reminders, your daily reminder is set to the evening. Tap Customize to pick another time, then Continue, and allow notifications when your phone asks.
On Connect Your Library, tap Continue and allow 1SE to access your photos and videos.
The Pro offer appears once more; tap the X to carry on.
On Add New Project, tap Journal, then Create Project. Keep the suggested name or type your own, and tap the round arrow button to confirm.
Your new project appears on the home screen. Tap it to open its calendar.
Step 2: Add your first snippet
Tap a day in the calendar.
On Your Day, tap Add Moment. You can also tap a video under Add from this day to go straight to the editor.
Pick a video or photo, then tap Add Selected Snippets (1) to Project. To record something new instead, tap the camera icon at the top right.
On Select your Snippet, drag along the video to choose your second. You can also change the Length, Fit to Frame or Rotate it, and tap Preview to watch it.
Tap Log.
Add a location or caption if you like, then tap the check mark.

Step 3: Fill more days
Tap Auto-Fill at the top of your project to fill the empty days on screen with videos from your library taken on those dates. Tap Keep to add them, or Discard. See How to Use Auto-Fill.
To add several videos at once, tap the round button at the bottom left of the calendar and select them. Each one goes on the day it was taken.
Step 4: Make your first mash
Tap the round play button at the bottom right of the calendar. Use Choose Dates to pick the period, then tap Save & Share, choose a quality, and tap Save to Gallery or Share Movie. See How to Create a Mashed Video.
